Chris Yoo, Ph.D.President and CEO
Chris Yoo is President & CEO of MedTrust Online, LLC, an information services company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona focused on providing clinically-useful technology applications and solutions for the medical industry. Prior to co-founding MedTrust Online, Dr. Yoo was CEO and founder of TransMed Partners, LLC, a healthcare & life sciences consulting firm specializing in helping clients achieve tangible outcomes in translational medicine. Prior to founding TransMed Partners, Dr. Yoo was the General Manager of the InnovationXchange Network USA, and has held management roles at Applied Biosystems (Life Technologies), and for the Information Based Medicine EBO at IBM. With over seventeen years of scientific and business experience, he has led organizations from startups, to non-profits, to new business units within large multinational corporations. He has been a key founder and executive in several biomedical content companies, and has published several articles in scientific journals. Dr. Yoo completed a Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Cancer Research Postdoctoral Fellowship at U.C. Berkeley in functional genomics. Dr. Yoo received his Ph.D. from Yale University School of Medicine in Cell and Molecular Biology and his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Leo Otake, M.D., Ph.D.Vice President of Medical Informatics
Leo Otake is Vice President of Medical Informatics of MedTrust Online, LLC. Dr. Otake's primary responsibilities include coordinating the aggregation, organization, and dissemination of MedTrust Online's content, as well as managing MedTrust Online's relationships with oncologists and advisers. Dr. Otake brings decades of medical and domain expertise in making technology applications relevant within a clinical setting. Prior to joining MedTrust Online, Dr. Otake was Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery at Yale New-Haven Hospital. He has worked extensively on humanitarian projects across the world and helped hundreds of children receive surgical care through his participation in Operation Smile and Interplast. In addition to his comprehensive medical experience, Dr. Otake is a pioneer in using technology to advance the practice of medicine. He is founder of WiredMd, a non-profit telemedicine website that promotes educational interchange between physicians located throughout the world. Dr. Otake has published in prestigious medical journals and received both his M.D. and Ph.D. from Yale University School of Medicine. He received his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania graduating magna cum laude and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Russell Ingersoll, Ph.D.Vice President of Product Development
Russell Ingersoll is the Vice President of Product Development at MedTrust Online, LLC. Dr. Ingersoll's responsibilities include managing MedTrust Online's product development life cycle: architecture, design, development, quality control, deployment and maintenance; as well as implementing product requirements defined by strategic alliances and business partners. Prior to joining MedTrust, Dr. Ingersoll was the Senior Director of Business Development and co-owner of Phylogeny Inc., a contract research organization for healthcare and life science research organizations. With more than fifteen years of industry experience, he has worked at a number of biomedical companies, including BioProtocol, a life science protocol portal, where he was a co-founder. In addition to industry experience, Dr. Ingersoll was a research team leader at the University of California, Berkley. He has numerous research articles published in peer reviewed scientific journals. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Pharmacology and Toxicology and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Thomas Hatton, Ph.D.Sr. Director of Computational Biology and Informatics
Thomas Hatton is the Sr. Director of Computational Biology and Informatics of MedTrust Online, LLC. Dr. Hatton applies wide-ranging knowledge gained from bench research in multiple areas of biology, experience working with large-scale data analysis in biological computing, together with a history of satisfying client needs and demands to accelerate customer programs and deliver solutions. He worked within the Panther group at Celera/ABI to create high-throughput protein sequence classifications and gene ontologies for the Human Genome Sequencing Project. While at Celera, Dr. Hatton was a key contributor to developing systems to classify and organize genomic information, and was an author on the landmark human genome sequence paper published in 2000. Prior to Celera, he worked at Molecular Applications Group, founded by Michael Levitt, as Product Manager for the Look/GeneMine software discovery suite. He provided on-site customizations for a number of high-profile pharmaceutical and biotech customers, and was Manager for the technical support staff. He received his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Toronto and completed postdoctoral training in Biochemistry at the University of California, San Francisco. Soumya Nidtha, M.S.Director of Strategic Partnerships and Content Management
Soumya Nidtha is the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Content Management. Ms. Nidtha works with physician practices and Oncocentric users to translate doctors’ everyday needs into the right information technology solutions for MedTrust Online. Ms. Nidtha has worked in the life sciences and healthcare industry for over a decade. As a principal consultant at TransMed Partners, LLC she performed market research, targeted investigations and assessed business development opportunities for Life Science projects for large multinational IT companies. Prior to TransMed Partners, she was a Lead Technical Liaison for genomics products at Applied Biosystems, now Life Technologies. Ms. Nidtha brings years of discovery experience from her work at Stanford, Monogram Biosciences, and the CDC. Her research has been presented at national meetings and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. Ms. Nidtha received her Master of Science degree in Genetics from the University of Alabama and her undergrad from Bangalore University. |
